“C Seyi Owodunni has moved to Emerging Capital Partners, the pan-African private equity firm, as managing director of the Nigeria office. Mr Owodunni joins from Kingdom Africa Management, a rival pan-African private equity manager where he was a partner.
C Virginie Maisonneuve, the global head of equities at Pimco, the US asset manager, has been appointed by the CFA Society of the UK as first honorary chair of the CFA UK Women’s Network.
C Vanguard is to reshuffle the leadership team of its international operations with Tom Rampulla, the head of Vanguard’s business in the UK and Europe, returning to the US. Mr Rampulla, who is to take up the role as head of Vanguard’s Financial Advisor Services division, which oversees $1tn in assets, will be replaced in Europe by John James who currently leads Vanguard’s operations in Australia. Mr James will be replaced in Australia by Colin Kelton, currently principal of Vanguard’s retail marketing and communication group in the US.
C Jennifer Murphy is to join Western Asset Management, the $466bn fixed income specialist, as chief operating officer. Ms Murphy was previously the chief administrative officer at Legg Mason, the parent company of Western. Ursula Schliessler will move to the role at Legg Mason’s from her current position as head of global distribution business management.
C UBS Global Asset Management recently hired Dinah Koehler as a strategist in the sustainable equity team. Ms Koehler joined from Deloitte.
C Barclays has hired Jay O’Neil as regional manager for wealth and investment management in Los Angeles from Marcquarie Bank where he served as head of the private bank.
